Cappadocia, Turkey I

We are now hitchhicking around the south coast of Turkey and living in little pansions and camping. Therefore we don’t always have internet and it’s a pity that updates cannot come as regulary as they used to be. But they will come eventually! No worries!

So the last stop we didn’t report from was Cappadocia. There we rented a scooter for two days to explore the area.

On the first day we drove around the north of Göreme in the Red Valley and the Rose Valley to visit some of the cave villages built into the soft rock.

That also included beatifully painted churches, wineries, hundredes of tunnels and even stables.

In order to keep enemies out big wheel-like boulders where put in place and rolled infront of the doors in case of an attack.

Finally we couldn’t miss climbing onto the sunset point to get a view over the whole magnificent area.
