On Saturday morning we set out for a weekend trip to Toronto and the Niagara Falls. The first stop was Ottawa where we would meet Kathy, Julian and Christoph.
We went to visit the oldest church in town, the Basilique-cathédrale Notre-Dame d’Ottawa, but couldn’t go in due to a marriage there.

So we went to to Major’s Hill Park to have a pick-nick on the hilltop…

… and enjoyed the view over Ottawa:

Finally we passed by the Parliament on Parliament Hill which we only saw from the outside again because getting a ticket for a tour can take you several hours.

Then we started our 5h drive to make the 450km to Toronto on very straight and boring highways…
