Torres del Paine 24 – 40,5 km

Tuesday was one of the hardest days in Torres del Paine because we had to walk the 16,5km from Camping Torres to the Refugio Cuernos and finally to the Camping Italiano with all our luggage (it took us about 6 hours).

Torres del Paine-42We did not climb far up the mountains but nevertheless the track was just an endless up and down along the Largo Nordenskjöld. But we were rewarded with very nice views along the lake:   Torres del Paine-44  Torres del Paine-46 We arrived in the Camping Italiano around 6pm, just in time to set up the tents before the dark. This camping ground was one of the free ones, so there were no shower nor bathrooms, just some very basic toilets and a cooking shelter.Torres del Paine-57

So again we cooked our famous rice and fish (we ate this every day for dinner, 3 days with sardines and one with tuna) to give us energy for the next day 🙂
